Raghdan Journal is committed to the approved scientific and academic standards in publishing, as well as the principles of scientific integrity, academic honesty, and transparency throughout all stages of the publication and peer-review process. The journal seeks to publish original research of scientific value while respecting authors' rights and intellectual property, and maintaining the integrity of the scientific record.

These standards apply to all parties involved in the publishing process, including researchers, reviewers, the editorial board, and the publisher.

First: Originality of Research and Submission
• The research must be original and not published, in whole or in part, on any electronic or print publishing platform. Submitting the research to the journal serves as an acknowledgment by the researcher that the work is original, has not been approved for publication by any other journal or institution, and is not concurrently under review elsewhere. The journal bears no responsibility if it is proven that the research was originally submitted to or published by another party.
• The researcher acknowledges that the submitted research has not been previously published, either wholly or partially, and does not constitute duplicate publication or republication of previously published material without full disclosure.
• The researcher may not submit the same research to more than one journal or publisher simultaneously; doing so is considered a violation of scientific publishing ethics.
• The journal does not publish excerpts or chapters from university theses or dissertations except as an exception, and only after the researcher adapts them to meet the journal's publication requirements. In such cases, the researcher must explicitly indicate this and provide comprehensive details regarding the thesis or dissertation title, the date of its defense, and the academic institution where the defense took place.

Second: Intellectual Property Rights
• The researcher delegates the intellectual property rights related to the research published in the journal to the publisher, the Royal Jordanian Hashemite Documentation Center, in accordance with the publisher's approved policy.
• The journal retains the publication rights for accepted and published research in accordance with the regulations and policies approved by the publisher. The research may not be republished or reused, wholly or substantially, without obtaining the necessary permission in accordance with applicable regulations.
• The journal apologizes for not returning submitted manuscripts, whether they are published or not.
• The researcher is responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions to use any copyright-protected materials, including images, maps, tables, figures, audio-visual materials, or documents for which they do not own the usage rights.

Third: Journal Scope and Publication Priority
• Priority for publication is given to research that aligns with the journal's research scope and general framework.
• The journal's priorities include:
- Humanities, social, and cultural studies related to the history and civilization of Jordan and its relationship to Arab and global history.
- Documentary and archival studies.
- Humanities studies concerned with the Arab region and the Middle East, including its social, economic, and political history.
- Humanities studies concerned with the world and its social, economic, and political history.
• The alignment of a research paper with the journal's scope of interest does not guarantee its acceptance for publication, as each submission is subject to scientific evaluation and peer review in accordance with the journal's approved procedures.

Fourth: Research Requirements and Components
The research must include the following elements:

A. Research Title and Researcher Information
• Research title in both Arabic and English.
• Name of the researcher(s).
• Academic rank.
• The academic institution where the researcher works.
• Email address and other required information according to the journal's approved submission form.

B. Abstract and Keywords
The research must include an abstract in Arabic and an abstract in English, approximately 200 words each. The abstract must cover the essential elements of the research, including:
• The research problem.
• Primary and secondary methodologies, if any.
• Hypotheses, if applicable.
• Research axes (themes).
• Key findings.
The abstract should be concise, intensive, and clear, and must conclude with six keywords revolving around the research topic.

C. Citation and References
The journal follows its approved citation system, including the APA style when applicable to the nature of the research. A list of sources and references used must be attached at the end of the research. If the sources and references are in two or more languages, the researcher must provide a separate list for each language, listing the sources and references in the language of the research first, followed by those in the other language.

Fifth: Research Size and Type
• Raghdan Journal appreciates the importance of granting researchers cognitive freedom and avoiding excessive restrictions on the format of the research, alongside the necessity of adhering to general scientific standards.
• The word count of the research should fall within the range of 5,000–8,000 words, including the reference list. The journal reserves the right to accept and publish research that falls outside this range based on its scientific and editorial discretion.
• The journal accepts the publication of reviews of influential books published no more than five years ago, provided the researcher selects titles of scientific value that fall within the journal's research scope. The book review should not exceed 3,000 words.
• The journal welcomes critical scientific book reviews. Such a review includes a brief and comprehensive presentation of the book's content, expressing a scientific critical opinion, evaluating it in light of the cumulative knowledge in the specialty field, stating its consistency with this knowledge, and identifying the added value provided by the book, if any.

Sixth: Technical Requirements
• The researcher is required to submit the research in Word Doc format.
• For research in Arabic, use Simplified Arabic font, size 12 for the main text, and size 14 for main and subheadings, adhering to the formatting approved in the journal's guidelines.
• For research in English, use Times New Roman font, size 11, with double line spacing.
• Regarding charts, tables, figures, and shapes, the journal does not accept them in an uneditable image format. They must be sent in their original format, whether created using Word, Excel, Paint 3D, or other appropriate software.

Seventh: Scientific Integrity and Academic Honesty
• Submitting the research to the journal serves as an acknowledgment by the researcher that the entire manuscript, including images, appendices, tables, and figures, adheres to the standards of scientific honesty and academic integrity.
• The researcher acknowledges that their research does not infringe upon the copyrights of any print or electronic material, whether published or unpublished, written, visual, or audio.
• The researcher bears full responsibility for the originality of the research, the accuracy of the information, data, results, and conclusions contained therein, and the proper use of sources and other materials.
Violations of scientific honesty include, but are not limited to:
• Plagiarism.
• Literal or near-literal copying without proper citation.
• Using the ideas, results, or data of others without referencing their sources.
• Data or result manipulation.
• Fabrication of sources or information.
• Authorship usurpation (Ghostwriting).
• Duplicate publication.
• Submitting the same research to more than one party simultaneously.

• The journal screens all submissions using appropriate plagiarism detection software.
• The journal disclaims responsibility for any legal, scientific, or ethical consequences resulting from any copyright or scientific honesty violation committed by the researcher.
• The journal will immediately retract any previously published research if it is reliably proven that it failed to respect the standards of scientific honesty or academic integrity, or if a substantial violation in the research preparation or publication process is established.
• Depending on the nature of the violation, the journal may reject any research before publication, retract the research after publication, or issue a correction or clarification statement, as it deems appropriate to protect the integrity of the scientific record.

Eighth: Scientific Peer Review and Confidentiality
• Initially accepted manuscripts are subject to scientific peer review according to the journal's approved review system.
• The journal commits to the confidentiality of the peer-review process. The identities of the reviewers or the contents of their reports may not be disclosed except to the extent permitted by the journal's approved policies and procedures.
• The journal selects reviewers based on their specialization and scientific expertise, striving as much as possible to ensure the independence and objectivity of the peer-review process.
• Reviewers pledge to maintain the confidentiality of the research and materials they review and not to use or benefit from unpublished information or ideas contained therein for personal or professional purposes.
• The researcher pledges that their research is not subject to any conflict of interest with any entity or institution they belong to, or any other relationship that could affect the objectivity of the research.
• Reviewers pledge that the research under their review does not constitute any conflict of interest in any way. In addition to the journal's commitment to peer-review confidentiality, it strives as much as possible to ensure that research is not assigned to a reviewer who has a conflict of interest with the researcher, whether due to a competitive or collaborative relationship, or any other reason that could affect the independence of the evaluation.
• Review reports must be objective and professional, and comments must be based on clear scientific grounds.
• The reviewer must notify the editorial board if they lack sufficient expertise to evaluate the research or are unable to complete the review within the specified timeframe.
• The editorial board has the right to request revisions from researchers based on the reviewers' reports, and it holds the right to make the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the research in accordance with approved scientific procedures.

Ninth: Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
• The editorial board is committed to evaluating submitted research based on its scientific value, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope, without non-scientific discrimination among researchers.
• The editorial board is committed to maintaining the independence of the editorial decision and not allowing personal, institutional, or non-scientific considerations to influence publication decisions.
• The editorial board conducts an initial screening of submitted research to verify its alignment with the journal's scope and its scientific and technical standards before forwarding it for peer review.
• Members of the editorial board may not use unpublished information, ideas, or results contained in submitted research except within the framework of legitimate editorial work and after committing to confidentiality.
• The editorial board is committed to seriously addressing allegations of plagiarism or research misconduct and taking appropriate measures to verify and resolve them.

Tenth: Correction and Retraction
• The journal may issue a correction, a clarification statement, or retract published research if a fundamental error or a scientific or ethical violation that affects the integrity of the research or the scientific record is discovered.
• Reasons for retraction may include, for example:
- Proven plagiarism.
- Data manipulation or fabrication.
- Duplicate publication.
- Authorship usurpation.
- Fundamental errors affecting results or conclusions.
- Intellectual property rights infringement.
• Correction and retraction procedures aim to protect the integrity of the scientific record and maintain the reliability of academic publications.

Eleventh: Open Access and Publication Fees
• Similar to international scientific journals, the researcher is not charged any fees for publishing their research in Raghdan Journal.
• The journal adheres to the Open Access principle, allowing readers to access, read, download, and cite published research without paying fees to the journal.
• The copyrights of published research are subject to the policy approved by the publisher, the Royal Jordanian Hashemite Documentation Center, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

Twelfth: Complaints and Appeals
• The editorial board of Raghdan Journal receives complaints and appeals related to the publication process, peer review, or publishing ethics.
• The journal reviews complaints submitted in good faith professionally and impartially, while maintaining the confidentiality of information and concerned parties as much as possible.
• A complaint submitted in good faith does not affect the researcher's right to submit for publication or the evaluation process of their research, unless the complaint involves a proven scientific or ethical violation.
